Application Area
1. Surface shape;
2. Curvature test ;
3. Surface flatness or surface roughness;
4. To measure whether the both sides of the glass are flat enough;
5. Angle testing: Some optical components have angles, which can be used to measure their accuracy ;
6. Stress testing: such as glasses or camera lenses, can test the glass deformation when it is clamped
with other objects.
Working Principle
The laser interferometer emits a single frequency beam of light, which is divided into two beams after
entering the linear interferometer and directed towards the reflector. These two beams are then reflected
back to the spectroscope, finally converg again and back to the laser interferometer.
If the optical path difference does not change, the laser interferometer will find a stable signal between
the two poles of the constructive and destructive interference. If the optical path difference change,
these changes will be calculated and used to measure the difference between the two optical paths.
