Working Principle
Magnetorheological fluid is a suspension composed of magnetic particles, base fluid and stabilizer.
Magnetorheological effect refers to the phenomenon that magnetorheological fluid is a fluxible liquid
when in a non magnetic field, but under the action of a strong magnetic field, its rheological property
changes sharply—which manifests as solid-like property— when removes the magnetic field, its flow
property are restored. Magnetorheological polishing (MRP) technology is that it uses a rapid relative
movement between the workpiece and a flexible “small grinding head”with viscoplastic property
generated from the rheology of magnetorheological polishing fluid occured in a gradient magnetic field,
so as to remove materials on the workpiece surface by a strong shear force on it.
