Working Principle
Magnetorheological polishing is a technology that generates convex ribbon made of solid-like Bingham fluid—a
magnetorheological fluid with enhenced viscosity and hardness under the strength of magnetic field—which can
produce a shear force between polishing wheel and workpiece and polish the workpiece in a flexible way. The
shear force on the workpiece is the main acting force of magnetorheological polishing technology for flexible
polishing of workpiece surface. MRP has many advantages such as high precision of processing surface shape,
small surface roughness, easy control of processing process, and no new damage during processing.
