Performance
● If a “point light source” is placed at its focal point, the light reflected by the mirror will be emitted in paralleld with
the main axis of the mirror; according to aforesaid principle, both searchlights and headlights are equipped with
the parabolic mirror to obtain parallel beams for lighting. Otherwise if the light parallel to the main axis is projected
onto a mirror, the light will be reflected and then converged at its focal point; the reflecting astronomical telescope
is equipped with the parabolic mirror to image distant celestial bodies for observation.
