Performance
● Over a wide range of IR wavelengths, the gilded total reflector has high reflectivity.
● A very thin layer of chromium is coated between gold film and substrate in order to enhance the adhesion with
the substrate.
● Because of the stronger adhesion of gold film and silicon wafer, and the high thermal conductivity of silicon (silicon
has 111 times the thermal conductivity of glass), the silicon substrate gilded reflector is more durable than the glass
substrate reflector.
